Dr. Brian Jackson is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and a transplant nephrologist with 19 years of experience in kidney transplantation and end-stage renal disease management. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed nephrology fellowship and a dedicated transplant nephrology fellowship at Indiana University Health, where he developed expertise in living and deceased donor kidney transplant management.Dr. Jackson's transplant nephrology practice encompasses pre-transplant evaluation and listing, desensitisation protocols for highly sensitised patients, perioperative immunosuppression management, surveillance for acute and chronic rejection using protocol biopsies, and long-term post-transplant care. He has been instrumental in building a living donor kidney transplant programme that has achieved consistent outcomes above national benchmarks.Beyond transplantation, Dr. Jackson provides comprehensive care for patients with chronic kidney disease across all stages, with emphasis on CKD progression retardation through blood pressure optimisation and emerging therapies including SGLT2 inhibitors. He has a particular interest in the management of diabetic nephropathy and collaborates closely with endocrinology to optimise metabolic control.Dr. Jackson has published extensively in the American Journal of Transplantation and the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. He serves on the United Network for Organ Sharing kidney transplant committee and is an invited speaker at the American Society of Nephrology's Kidney Week meeting.
