Dr. Mark Collins is a board-certified nephrologist and urological nephrologist with 14 years of practice following medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and nephrology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he developed a subspecialty interest in nephrolithiasis, obstructive uropathy, and the intersection of renal and urological disease. He subsequently pursued additional training in renal ultrasonography, becoming one of few nephrologists with formal competency in point-of-care renal imaging.Dr. Collins manages the full range of medical nephrology presentations, including acute kidney injury in hospitalised patients, chronic kidney disease management, hypertension refractory to standard therapy, and electrolyte disorders.
